During the days of the 16th<\/sup> to 19th<\/sup> April, the next edition of the biannual international fair of the agri-food sector takes place: Alimentaria 2018<\/a><\/strong>. This year’s edition merges with another well-known exhibition, the Hostelco, an exhibition for hotelier equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n This major trade show platform, Alimentaria 2018,<\/strong> will bring together 4.500 companies, 150.000 experts (27% of whom will be international, coming from more than 70 different countries), it will occupy 100.000m2 <\/sup>and attract more than 1.400 key buyers from 150 countries.<\/p>\n 300 innovations will be presented,<\/strong> 120 conferences will be held, 35 chefs with 45 Michelin stars will gather (at Hostelco) and 150 gastronomic activities can be enjoyed.<\/p>\n Alimentaria 2018 will cover 6 halls of the fairground Gran V\u00eda<\/strong>, bringing together food, drink and food service companies. In order to facilitate the visit of the exhibition, the fair organises its exhibition in 6 sector-specific events:<\/p>\n – Food Service<\/strong><\/p>\n – Intervin<\/strong>: wine industry. With Jancis Robinson, Nick Lander or Eric Asimov being present.<\/p>\n – Intercarn<\/strong>: meat industry<\/p>\n – Restaurama<\/strong><\/p>\n – Expoconser<\/strong>: canned and semi-preserved food industry<\/p>\n – Interlac<\/strong>: offering dairy products and derivates<\/p>\n – Multiple<\/strong> Foods<\/strong>: with consumer products<\/p>\n – Premium<\/strong>: reserved for haute cuisine and oenology<\/p>\n It will take place in hall 8, sharing the space with Restaurama. Innovations concerning products, technologies and solutions for equipment and machinery<\/strong> for the hospitality industry will be introduced.<\/p>\n The presented subsectors<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n – Kitchenware, tableware, utensils and packaging<\/p>\n – Equipment and machinery technologies for the hotel and catering industry<\/p>\n – Technology, entertainment and software<\/p>\n – Textiles, clothing and uniforms<\/p>\n – Interior design, decoration, lighting and furniture<\/p>\n – Cleaning and laundry<\/p>\n – Vending<\/p>\n – Spa, wellness and accessories<\/p>\n – Bakery, ice-cream and pastry shop<\/p>\n 35 chefs with more than 45 Michelin stars will come together. Among these we can highlight:<\/p>\n – Andoni Luis Aduriz (Mugaritz, Guip\u00fascoa)<\/p>\n – Fina Puigdevall (Les Cols, Girona)<\/p>\n – Nando Jubany (Can Jubany)<\/p>\n – Paco Roncero (La Terraza del Casino, Madrid)<\/p>\n – Mario Sandoval (Coque, Madrid)<\/p>\n One of the priorities of this year\u00b4s edition is to promote the internationalization of the exhibiting companies and the sector<\/strong> as a whole.<\/p>\n In this sense, Alimentaria 2018 has clearly opted for a strong Host Buyers program of quality and high import capacity.
