This year&#8217;s edition merges with another well-known exhibition, t<strong>he Hostelco, an exhibition for hotelier equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Some interesting facts<\/h2>\n<p>This major trade show platform,<strong> Alimentaria 2018,<\/strong> will bring together 4.500 companies, 150.000 experts (27% of whom will be international, coming from more than 70 different countries), it will occupy 100.000m<sup>2 <\/sup>and attract more than 1.400 key buyers from 150 countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>300 innovations will be presented,<\/strong> 120 conferences will be held, 35 chefs with 45 Michelin stars will gather (at Hostelco) and 150 gastronomic activities can be enjoyed.<\/p>\n<h2>Alimentaria 2018<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Alimentaria 2018 will cover 6 halls of the fairground Gran V\u00eda<\/strong>, bringing together food, drink and food service companies. In order to facilitate the visit of the exhibition, the fair organises its exhibition in 6 sector-specific events:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; <strong>Food Service<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; <strong>Intervin<\/strong>: wine industry. With Jancis Robinson, Nick Lander or Eric Asimov being present.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; <strong>Intercarn<\/strong>: meat industry<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; <strong>Restaurama<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; <strong>Expoconser<\/strong>: canned and semi-preserved food industry<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; <strong>Interlac<\/strong>: offering dairy products and derivates<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; <strong>Multiple<\/strong> <strong>Foods<\/strong>: with consumer products<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; <strong>Premium<\/strong>: reserved for haute cuisine and oenology<\/p>\n<h2>Hostelco 2018<\/h2>\n<p>It will take place in hall 8, sharing the space with Restaurama. <strong>Innovations concerning products, technologies and solutions for equipment and machinery<\/strong> for the hospitality industry will be introduced.<\/p>\n<p>The presented <strong>subsectors<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Kitchenware, tableware, utensils and packaging<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Equipment and machinery technologies for the hotel and catering industry<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Technology, entertainment and software<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Textiles, clothing and uniforms<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Interior design, decoration, lighting and furniture<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Cleaning and laundry<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Vending<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Spa, wellness and accessories<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Bakery, ice-cream and pastry shop<\/p>\n<h2>The Hostelco Experience and the Alimentaria Experience<\/h2>\n<p>35 chefs with more than 45 Michelin stars will come together. Among these we can highlight:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Andoni Luis Aduriz (Mugaritz, Guip\u00fascoa)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Fina Puigdevall (Les Cols, Girona)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Nando Jubany (Can Jubany)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Paco Roncero (La Terraza del Casino, Madrid)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8211; Mario Sandoval (Coque, Madrid)<\/p>\n<h2>The internationalization of exhibiting companies<\/h2>\n<p>One of the priorities of this year\u00b4s edition is to <strong>promote the internationalization of the exhibiting companies and the sector<\/strong> as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>In this sense, Alimentaria 2018 has clearly opted for a strong Host Buyers program of quality and high import capacity.
