But like any export, this\nmarket requires quality products. And in this case nothing better than the\nProtected Designation of Origin (PDO) label to give prestige to our cheese\nindustry. Cylindrical in shape\nand with flat faces, its height varies from 7 to 15 cm, and its soft and fine\nnatural rind due to maturation in natural caves with high humidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>other Asturian PDO cheeses are <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spain.info\/en\/que-quieres\/gastronomia\/productos\/queso_gamonedo.html\"><strong>Gamoneu<\/strong><\/a><strong>,<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheese.com\/afuegal-pitu\/\"><strong> Afuega\u00b4l Pitu<\/strong><\/a><strong> or<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.elquesocasin.com\/queseriaredes\/the-casin-cheese\/\"><strong> Casin.<\/strong><\/a> All these cheeses are <strong>already distributed in the Middle East<\/strong> (particularly in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Dubai and Lebanon).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Spanish cheese industry presents its best\nPDOs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Idiaz\u00e1bal cheese\nand northern cheeses <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The dairy <strong>product used to make <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheese.com\/idiazabal\/\"><strong>Idiaz\u00e1bal\ncheese<\/strong><\/a><strong> comes from\nTexel<\/strong>, the sheep breed. Texel is a rustic sheep from this\npart of the <strong>Basque Country<\/strong>,\nproducing a superior quality milk that is highly prized throughout the world,\nwhich gives another prestigious aspect to the Spanish cheese industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the main characteristics of this cheese is that it is made from\nraw milk, matured for at least 2 months. Its size is small or medium, and it\nhas enzymatic coagulation. It is a hard raw cheese and can be found on the\nmarket either smoked or non-smoked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other important cheeses from the Cantabrian region with PDO are <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spain.info\/en\/que-quieres\/gastronomia\/productos\/queso_picon_bejes_-_tresviso.html\"><strong>Pic\u00f3n Bejes<\/strong><\/a><strong> or <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spain.info\/en\/que-quieres\/gastronomia\/productos\/queso_camerano.html\"><strong>Camerano.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Galician cheeses\nand the essential Tetilla<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>An essential\nelement in Galician gastronomy is <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.spain.info\/en\/que-quieres\/gastronomia\/productos\/queso_tetilla.html\"><strong>Tetilla PDO cheese.<\/strong><\/a><strong> Made with cow&#8217;s milk from the\nFrisona, Brown Alpina and Rubia Gallega breeds<\/strong>, it is one\nof the most representatives in the region. It is particularly recognizable\nbecause of its shape, which recalls the nipples of a mother, where the name\ncomes from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to obtain PDO certification, cows and the entire manufacturing\nprocess must ensure a series of detailed criteria, ranging from the type of\nhygiene conditions when milking animals, to production and storage\ntemperatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other important cheeses in the area are<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spain.info\/en\/que-quieres\/gastronomia\/productos\/queso_de_arzua_-_ulloa.html\">\nArz\u00faa<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spain.info\/en\/que-quieres\/gastronomia\/productos\/queso_do_cebreiro.html\">Cebreiro.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The export of Galician cheeses is growing 4 times more than the export of other cheeses from the peninsula. Its main target markets are the United States, Asia and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The famous\nManchego cheese and cheeses from the south <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheese.com\/manchego\/\"><strong>Manchego cheese<\/strong><\/a><strong>\nis the cheese made in the Castilla-La Mancha region from raw or pasteurised\nsheep&#8217;s milk from the Manchega breed<\/strong>.
